Albert Camus’ masterpiece, ‘The Stranger’ is brought to life with colourful and engaging slides. The author’s craft and his philosophical ideas are challenged and explored, empowering new levels of commentary. I have taught this text many times over the last seventeen years. I have used this particular resource as a lead teaching material in class, as a distant learning material/homework and as a tool of revision – all have worked well for the students. This power point lesson contains a starter material, a recap on previous learning, summary and analysis questions, an academic writing task, an extension task, a homework assignment and a plenary. This is a complete resource that will save you time. Enjoy!

GCSE to A Level Transition: Key Skills - Analysing Quotes: Where to Begin ...

The academic jump between GCSE and A level is significant. Often there isn’t a transition program or materials in place, and some students struggle. I have created an ever-growing set of materials to compensate for this skill’s gap and students have found these materials incredibly helpful. I have used these materials after students have completed their GCSEs and indicated that they are planning to move onto ‘A’ level, as homework assignments and even as tools of revision. All have worked well for the students. This power point lesson focuses on ´Where to begin when analysing quotes´ – this is an essential skill. Through a series of structured exercises: the students learn how to interpret and comment on quotes, and adopt this skill into their academic writing. Colourful and interactive, I have received good feedback on this lesson. This is a complete resource. Enjoy.

These complex and challenging texts remain as controversial in the post-modern world as they did at the time of publication. I have taught these texts a number of times and have refined this resource at the close of every academic year. I have successfully used this resource to lead my teaching in the classroom, as a homework or distance learning material and even as a tool of revision – all have worked well for the students. This colossal thirty-two slide presentation provides the appropriate detail and exploration required at A level, and is suitable with slight adaptions for IB and the American system, it provides roughly three hours teaching time of resources. This presentation guides the students through the process of writing an academic essay, working around the essay question of ‘In what ways do Shakespeare and Fitzgerald present the idea of sexual inequality in their respective texts? I feel that this is a critical skill that really helps to build confidence in the students, my feedback in class has been extremely favourable towards this particular resource. Every slide is dynamically illustrated and very engaging. This presentation also contains an extension task and homework assignment. There is no work for you to complete whatsoever. This is a complete resource. Enjoy.
